Fun & bright ...

Hello again ... I'm sharing another card creation today that was created for the summer colours with ribbon challenge over at Really Reasonable Ribbons.

I like the various shades of teal that came with this collection ... I've used both some twine, ribbon and a wooden sentiment to add that extra texture.  (I don't know if you've been paying attention, but you may have noticed that I often like to do a fun bow behind the pennant if I am using one of these wooden Jillibean sentiments ...I always like the way it looks!)

Hello Ribbon!

Hello there!
Happy Saturday!

I'm here today to share a bright colourful summer card (with ribbon) for the Really Reasonable Ribbon Challenge!

I love how this card turned out ... it was a bit of an experiment when I started with the ribbon loops ... but I like the effect!  Once again my sewing machine came in really handy :)

ScrapMuch? Sketch-Y Friday Reveal - Jump for Joy!

Happy Friday!

Yee haw! Time for another ScrapMuch? Sketch-Y Friday reveal!!!!

Check out ScrapMuch? for the challenge details ... basically you have the rest of July to play along and if you enter 2 challenges this month --- you'll be entered in a random drawing for an awesome scrappy prize!!

This week's sketch is another fun sketch by the wonderful Laura Whitaker.

And this is my take on the sketch!

I made a few epoxy embellishments with my epiphany ... it is the perfect way to create matching embellishments when you only have paper on hand!

I love the soft peach colour here.

The purple/blue striped paper made my eyes go crossed while I worked on this ... but once you add the photos and the title ... I can't help but enjoy this layout!

It's time ...

Hello!

Today I am sharing a card with a black background for the CAS-ual Friday's challenge that is also based on the following Paper Players Sketch!

And this is my take on the sketch ...

I have a few of these metal clock embellies on hand ... and have a hard time parting with them (... ok, I've been hoarding them) ... but I decided that it was about time to make use of one!  I like the metallic/newspaper combo!

Because of the bears ...

Hello!

Today I'm sharing a card created based on the following Friday Mashup Sketch!

I thought the bear card would be cute to give to someone who is a fan of camping or has a cottage ...

I kept things simple ... I used a metal pin to anchor my flag and added a bit of brown twine for some extra texture and dimension.
